The Fastest Woman on Earth, The Tornado, The Black Gazelle…her accolades are numerous! During the 1956 and 1960 Olympic Games, she was the fastest women on track! But do you know just years earlier she was wearing braces and specially fit shoes for her twisted leg?

The twentieth of twenty two siblings, Rudolph developed paralysis due to Polio at the tender age of 4. She had to wear braces to support her leg and continued wearing them till she was 12. Her training and natural athleticism in the following years, took her to the pinnacle of Athletic and Olympic history!
